An update on our recent volunteer lunch.
Last month, volunteers enjoyed morning tea at Pathway HQ with Community Coordinator Finn, and members of the senior leadership team. The morning was spent sharing stories between one another. Volunteers shared their vision of the future and what opportunties Pathway could offer. Community plays a vital role in Tū Ora’s ability to seek and create change for themselves, whether it’s teaching them practical skills, mentoring them through difficult situations, or simply showing them kindness behind the wire or out in the community.
We have such appreciation for our volunteers. Their contributions and commitment to Pathway is so important. It was nice to celebrate them.” says Finn.
Our volunteers are the backbone of our organisation and we are grateful for the work they do. If you are interested in volunteering for Pathway, we are currently in need of the following:
– Mentors for Tū Ora in the community
– Writers group facilitators in the community and in prison
– Music teachers
– Ongoing gardening support for our PAH and reintegration flats
– People with unique skills that can offer training to men, and show pathways of hope for when they return to the community.
