Alloyfold’s strong showing at AIMC strengthened key client relationships, setting up a promising year ahead in the cinema industry.
The opportunity to showcase a large amount of stock around a large booth in a prominent location on the show floor at October’s Gold Coast event certainly paid dividends, with big numbers of people from the leading names in the industry as well as the larger independent operators flocking to take a look at Alloyfold’s range.
Chris says a strong presence combined with a growing customer base, solid relationships with key clients and less competition in the Australian market meant it was the best AIMC Alloyfold has had in the 15 years it's been a part of it. “We went really big this year. The industry itself is buoyant and they’re quite bullish about what’s ahead next year. You’ve got to remember cinema is very cyclical - they only look 12 months ahead. They don’t look too much further. It’s all down to content and content release, so that means sales will be up and there'll be a little bit more money to spend.
“We’ve had really meaningful conversations with a lot of the bigger independent chains. We’re working with Limelight which is being installed at the moment. Another cinema chain is also looking at coming to us soon. I think next year, because of that, it’s looking pretty buoyant in the cinema market. It’s going to make a difference . . . it’s a big deal.”
Chris was joined at the AIMC by Australian-based Alloyfold team members Joe and Ash, and Pathway chief executive Murray Kennedy.
